REM Announces New Location in Arlington, VA Arlington, VA, January 3, 2004—REM Association Services is relocating to new, larger offices in the Crystal City area in Arlington, VA. The full-service association management company (AMC) is managed by Robert E. McLean, CAE. REM manages three trade associations: the Mailers Council, the Association of Language Companies and the Coal Trading Association. McLean, a certified association executive, is executive director for all three associations. REM also consults with other associations, as well as corporations and unions in the Washington, DC, area. Following is contact information for REM and Bob McLean. Phone and fax numbers are both new; the email and website addresses are unchanged. REM Association Services AMCs are for-profit businesses that provide professional management and administrative services to tax-exempt or nonprofit organizations. AMCs in the United States manage budgets exceeding $2 billion collectively. AMCs may provide the first professional management for associations as they emerge from an all-volunteer status, or allow associations that need to downsize to economize by purchasing only those services they require. ###
