ROBERT E. MCLEAN TO PRESENT AT ASAE ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Arlington, VA, August 21, 2006—Robert E. McLean, CAE, will be a presenter at the American Society of Association Executive’s 2006 Annual Conference on August 22 in Boston, MA. The conference, which will attract more than 5,500 association and hospitality professionals, is the preeminent national event for association executives in the US.

The presentation, "10 Questions to Review the Health of Your Organization," will be a panel discussion that will help association executives learn how to objectively evaluate the state of their organizations. The program will also show how to prepare and present the changes needed and to gain leadership support for them, and how to best implement changes within an association.

McLean’s co-presenters will be Elise Lindsey, CAE, vice president of Business Development for Loftus Associates; and, Pam Valenzuela, CAE, president of ASCENT Management LLC.

McLean is a 29-year veteran of the communications industry, including 18 years in the association world. He is president of REM Association Services, an association management company in Arlington, VA. McLean is executive director of six trade associations and a registered lobbyist on Capitol Hill. He chairs the Government Relations Committee for the AMC Institute, the leading trade association for association management companies. In 2005 he was named to ASAE's AMC Section Council, whose members are selected based on their experience and leadership as AMC executives.
